Decent, but a bit pricey!

Groupmail is pretty good for managing my email lists, especially with their HTML Email Editor! It's way better than trying to cobble together emails in Mailchimp. The one-time payment is awesome, not having to worry about monthly fees is a huge plus. My only gripe is that it feels a bit expensive, even with a promo code, compared to some other options out there. But it works with Windows 11, which is great!

Solid choice for email marketing

Unlike some other services where you're constantly worried about message limits, Groupmail Business Edition is a breath of fresh air with its one-time payment. I've used them before for other projects and they're consistently reliable, though I wish their interface got a bit of a facelift. Always a good experience finding a deal here.

Email Tracking Service is okay!

I was looking for an Email Tracking Service and Groupmail seemed like a decent option with their one-time payment. The tracking itself works fine, but it took way too long to get my license key after I bought it. I had to email support twice! Otherwise, the product is pretty good.

Groupmail Business is awesome!

Way better than my old email service, Groupmail Business handles all my emails easily, though I wish the Autoresponder was included, still a great deal!

Good for newsletters

Got the Groupmail Personal Edition. License key came fast. Installed fine on my PC. Sent a few newsletters. It works as expected. No issues.

Pretty decent email tool

So I needed something to send out emails for my small club, and didn't want another monthly bill. A friend suggested Groupmail. I ended up getting the Marketing Pack, seemed like a good deal. The whole buying thing was easy enough. Got the key super quick, which was nice. I've been playing around with the Email Personalization Tool and the Email Design Templates; they're actually pretty helpful. It's desktop-based, which felt a bit old school at first, but it just works. No drama, which is exactly what I needed. Happy with it.

Solid desktop, minor quirks

I bought the Groupmail Business Edition after looking at a few cloud-based options. The one-time payment was a big draw. The purchase and license delivery were seamless. Setup was easy on my Windows 11 machine. I've been using the List Manager and Bounce Processor, both function well. The Email Scheduler is handy for planning campaigns. My only minor gripe is the interface feels a little dated compared to some web platforms. It's perfectly usable, just not as modern looking. Customer service has been responsive though when I had a question about the Email Analytics Dashboard. Good value for what it does.

Smooth purchase, solid software

I recently purchased the Groupmail Business Edition and added the Email Tracking Service. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I found what I needed quickly. My license key landed in my inbox within the hour, which was great. Installation on my Windows 10 machine was uneventful. I've been using it for a few weeks now to manage a couple of mailing lists and send out our monthly newsletter. The HTML Email Editor took a little getting used to, but it's powerful once you get the hang of it. I also used the Data Import Utility to bring over some old lists, and that worked without a hitch. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about integrating with our CRM; they pointed me to the right documentation. Overall, it's a robust desktop solution, especially liking the one-time payment model over monthly fees.

how many emails can you send with the business version? i'm trying to figure out if it'll be enough for my list.

J June 1 month ago
It's not really about a limit in the software itself, but more about your sending service. Groupmail connects to your SMTP server, so your limits depend on that, not Groupmail directly. They don't charge per message or anything.

T Tara Brooks 1 month ago
Yeah, what they said. Groupmail just manages the list and sends it out, but the actual sending capacity comes from whoever you use to send emails through.

Thinking about getting Groupmail but also looking at Mailchimp. Anyone used both and can tell me the big differences?

R Rosa Lindqvist 2 months ago
Mailchimp is all cloud-based and has monthly fees, Groupmail is desktop and one-time payment. Groupmail gives you more control over your lists on your own computer, but Mailchimp has more fancy automation built-in, though it costs ya.

I switched from Mailchimp to Groupmail because the monthly fees were killing me. Groupmail is more barebones in some ways, but for just sending newsletters to my list, it's perfect and way cheaper long-term.

Groupmail Personal vs Business Edition for a small startup?

P PriyaS 5 days ago ✓ Best Answer
Go with Business, the sending limits are way better.

R RohanK 5 days ago
Is it a one-time payment for that too?

Yeah, I think so. No per message charges.

Personal Edition might be enough to start. You can always upgrade.

Good point. Any upgrade discounts for older versions?

Consider the Marketing Pack if you need more features right away. It bundles a lot.

Does Groupmail have a free version to try out before buying?

S Sophie D. 1 month ago
Not a full free version, but I think they used to have a trial or a demo. Might wanna check their site directly for that. It's not like a freemium model though.

T Tom Torres 1 month ago
No, not really a 'free version' like a lot of cloud tools. It's paid software. They might have a trial, but don't expect a free tier you can use forever.

hey, was looking at groupmail, is it still a one-time purchase thing or do they do monthly subs now?

P Paula 2 months ago
Nah, still one-time. That's kinda their whole deal, no monthly fees which is sweet.

S Shane 2 months ago
Can confirm, bought it last year and it was just a single payment. No hidden stuff.

Can I use a coupon code on top of an upgrade discount? trying to stack savings if possible.

D David H. 2 months ago
I'm pretty sure you can only use one discount at a time. Most places don't let you stack coupons with other offers.
5
R Raj 2 months ago
AFAIK, it's one coupon per order. So if you have an upgrade discount, you probably can't add another separate promo code.

Anyone know if groupmail works with Windows 11? My old email software is kinda buggy with it.

R Raj 1 month ago
Yup, I'm running it on Win11 no problem. Been stable for me.

M Mike Q. 1 month ago
Should be fine. It's a desktop app so as long as your system isn't super weird, it usually just works.
